Well after an extended break from painting due to mojo-loss (around 2 months), the VJ Day commemorations prompted me to do some re-reading on Burma and some accounts of the Indian 7th Light Cavalry beating off Japanese infantry attacks with 37mm canister fire inspired me to paint some Stuarts that have languished in the lead-pile for about 8 years.

Finally, very slowly, getting back to grabbing a few minutes of painting in since baby came home. The wimmin went out to lunch to celebrate an Auntie's graduation. This gave me an hour after work to finish some 15mm ECW heavy cavalry. Most of my painting these days is going to be very basic I think.

Shinies have shimmied off the active table. Having finished three units I now have a decent basic force for the 28mm Shiny army and with tough decisions over Ayton 2, the 42mm are being mothballed for now too. Being that they represent the grand total of six hours painting over the last four months it's probably for the best I get going on something different.
So this means I can move on with some 15mm Vikings for the Valhalla/Niffelheim project, plus some 28mm Landsknechts to be painted up as the start for some figures based on 'The Witcher' universe. Also some 28mm Goblins are being prepped ready for painting in a month or so.
