Indeed. I did wonder about that as the next menu item. It was wonderful to watch live football in person on Friday night.
How did they handle the distancing ?

Have a go. You don't have to tell anyone about it unless you want to.
I know when to go out
I know when to stay in

The club instituted these steps:
  • One way system round the ground (observed but not by everybody)
  • No access to players' area (hence you can't walk round the whole ground).
  • Area behind dug-outs fenced off (blocking the best spec for standing spectators).
  • Limited attendance to 300 (2 k capacity).
  • All electronic tickets (hence have a record of who was there).
  • Every other seat taped off (not that there's that many).
  • Every other urinal taped off (not that there's that many).
  • No smoking or vaping.
  • No bar (but you could nip out to the social club and bring a pint in).
  • No tea bar & no pies.
  • No Club shop.
Sadly, the Club can't do much about the numpties in the crowd: the vapers and the pissed groups of mates. I had to move in the second half because one bloke insisted on leaning forward between his two mates in the next row. Must have been eight inches from their faces. More importantly I couldn't see one of the goals. Pratt.

The next game is tomorrow and the last three are set to change along with an increased attendance of 600. This will be interesting. For those not familiar with non-league our average attendance is 500.

So the local press gangs will need to be especially active then......
