Re: Pulp Cthulhu
While we went on the lash, had a nice dinner, and still overtook you on the luxury flight to NY (that you could also have been on). Hopefully 12 hours of bowel-loosening terror in a rickety plane with 'Splashdown O'Malley' or whatever his name was took your mind off your plague.levied troop wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 7:16 am That word ‘fled’. It’s rather ........judgemental isn’t it?
How about “Hilaire had become infected with the Yellow Death and, being ignored by his fellow team members who preferred getting rat-arsed on inferior claret to helping their brave compatriot, hired a plane at his own expense to seek a cure in New York........”

Yes, mon ami, how was it you arrived ahead of me, mmm?
And whatever happened to Monsieur O’Malley?
Still, never mind, how you say “ De l'eau a coulé sous les ponts” eh?

It looks like me.

Re: Pulp Cthulhu
Well a quiet relaxing start to Season 3. No dynamite. No nuclear devices. No plague. New York survives another day at least....
The heroes returned to Caduceus HQ where they met again with Hilaire, who seemed very sprightly and was escorted by Dr Goncalves. No one bothered to ask whether he was recovered. Goncalves debriefed them and they told him everything that had gone on , although Karina neglected to mention her newly discovered corpse-based diet preferences. Goncalves confirmed that Karina's snake skin patch almost certainly absolutely harmless and nothing like what you would get with a hybrid.
As the meeting was concluding the previously presumed dead Dr Singh walked in. He told a strange tale of being teleported to the Meadham country estate, discovering strange, partly-alive snake person statues, a large temple full of writhing snakes and being kidnapped by the lovely Ed who told him to ring a number and ask for Rose. Unfortunately Ed was run off the road and died as Dr Singh was rescued by the heroic Frank de Luca (head of security) and his man-mountain accomplice.
Randall went to see his good friend Khan who revealed that one of his docker contacts at Red Hook had seen a crate being unloaded containing a mysterious humanoid ape creature. Was it just like the Yeti that Khan and Randall had encountered before ? Back at his club he ran into his rival Orville Hopkirk (better, brighter , more charming, wealthier than Randall and all round twat). Hopkirk was with two Italian businessmen - one of whom made a point of letting Randall know that he knew him.
Hilaire was very quiet, did some research and went back to his rooms to do 'research' with the latest copy of Snake Enthusiasts Weekly
Karina had a bad afternoon failing to read books but finding herself attracted to the filing and archive room, though she was unfortunately unable to break in.
Dr Singh left instructions for his assistant Marmaduke to get snake samples for his research at his private lab facility at GH Nichols Chemical Co in Queens. He also is working on a lockpicking device.
Derrick found that his rent debts had been 'resolved' by a nice Italian gentleman called Casale who he had vaguely heard of as being linked to the Bonanno family. Karina knows that the Bonannos are now the main mob family in New York headed up by Joe "Bananas' Bonanno.
Singh and Derrick rang the phone number from Ed and asked for Rose. Singh was told that he would be contacted.
Later Derrick met his employer who agreed to help provide a distraction in the Meadham building. He also discovered that his investigation had been commissioned by someone at the Vincent Chemical Co in Queens.
The episode ended with the team visiting the decrepit dockside Hooverville shanty town district of Red Hook where in a seedy dive they met with Khan's dockworker contact who squinted at them and began his story of what he had seen…..

Can we swap our existing Big Game Hunter for the new one? He seemed less of a twat
