A deeply wounding remark.

Post by ochoin »

Some little while ago, a member of this forum (who can remain nameless), suggested the blue bonnets of my Lowlander Covenanters looked like UN berets.

I have been unable to sleep well since.

The figures have, up to now, had their 'bunnets' painted with a flat coat of Vallejo grey-blue.
But, to alleviate the ridicule I believe many of you feel for me, I have - at great expense - bought a bottle of Army Painter Quickshade "Blue Tone".

Upon experimenting, it darkens the colour somewhat & gives a bland mottled effect.

Is this what it will take to win back the forum's respect? Will this meet the absurdly high standard you all seem to apply to the pedestrian headware of the Common Scot of yesteryear?

At least it wasn't Yves Klein Blue. This might upset some, but blue is blue - light, middle or dark. All the rest is mere detail.

No debate on blue can be validly concluded until Andy has given his learned opinion

It is a truth universally acknowledged that there is no such thing as the correct shade of blue.

I would imagine earning the respect of this forum will only result in you feeling dirty and filled with self loathing.

Oooops!

I wasn't suggesting that your Covenanters were actually involved in child trafficking and child prostitution, merely that they appeared to share a uniform item with such people.
