I think understand what you mean Iain, but I think my washer Sabot method™ gives the same option and I'm not so ornery as to dislike cornery (mainly because I've just about accepted that bases don't have to be the same width, but if they are not the same width and a different shape I start feeling all squirmy). Mind you, I will try some Irish kern on the non-linear bases just to see what they look like.

I think 'busy' is probably nearer the truth than 'working'. But no, the posting of pictures no longer requires Andy's assistance. Mostly.

Moving into industrial production of my WotR bases:

L to R: Raw base (top layer of Warbases Infamy mob base)
Then sprinkled with sand and a bit of plaster.
Then a self-adhesive ferrous base (Magnetic Displays or Sally 4th)applied to the bottom, a tiny neodymium magnet superglued in the middle of each hole, which is then sprinkled with baking powder to add some texture to that part of the base.
Finally sprayed black and painted MP Earth Brown with a little dry brushing. Only needs a little flock to be finished. oh, and figures added. About 35 done so far and 15 cavalry bases, now for the fun bit of organising the troops

I've done all my bases, regardless of size, this way which does mean my figure collections should be rules future-proofed against any of my whims and fancies. The only difference this time is the self-adhesive ferrous base. In the past it's been self-adhesive steel paper but this seems to be rarer than hens teeth these days.
