Mat choices

Post by goat major »

ok genuine opinions needed on gaming mats. I'm getting some from Geek Villain. I definitely want the autumn one for my grassy games https://geekvillain.co.uk/collections/g ... 6x4-autumn

But i also want want that is a bit more mixed/mediterranean for ancients, imaginations india and similar. Dont want/need pure desert (got one). Any thoughts on the look/aesthetics ? I'm only doing geek villain so no point suggesting other suppliers (though of course you will all feel the need to at length)

I like the Alamein but the road going through the middle of it really annoys me. Otherwise i'd get it

So i now cant decide between
Rocky Grass
https://geekvillain.co.uk/collections/g ... ocky-grass

or Sicily

I prefer the Rocky Grass to Sicily because the transition between lightest and darkest colours is less pronounced than on the latter.

I'm a bit worried by the statement that the 6x4 in its packaging will fit through a letterbox. That sounds rather too lightweight. Have you seen these in the flesh?

Bit late to the party and not sure if this helps, as I suspect at least some of these are only available in the US, but a very nice selection, nonetheless....
