My eBay copy of Charge arrived. It's an odd one. Still in the cellophane wrapping, softback, new, and no reprint information? As I expected, it was 99p until 5 seconds before the auction closed, and shot up to over £10. I really hate eBay snipers.

Anyway, will put the castle aside for a little while and enjoy this one. The tiling and stonework aren't my favourite bits anyway :)

Interestingly, there's no indication it's a reprint. It has to be, as it's paperback.. but it still has the 1967 publication date. I would have expected it to show reprint dates. But it was printed by Billing and Sons Guildford, and bound by Mansells. It's literally as new, even had a (damaged) cellophane wrapper, excellent quality paper, unlike some 'classic' reprints I've seen.

The front cover clearly shows them playing Sharp Practice as the grenadiers are in groups of 8 with some attached leaders. :)

Oi Oi, I don't snipe, I may occasionally lurk & pounce but I have noting but contempt for people who use sniping software to bid in the last few seconds. I lost a few like that this week, I nearly bought a copy of Rank & File for 99p just to see if EB was being maligned by everyone else but someone sniped me.

Some 1/200 planes have arrived. A pair of Hurricanes and a vic of Heinkels. Somehow, a pair of defiants seem to have fallen into my shopping cart.

These are for our Christmas meeting which will be planes of 1940.
