I've washed mine after I discovered some mice had thrown a party in it and it was fine. However, the caveat is that I did it at either 40 degrees or 30 degrees (can't remember which) and mine is from their original batch so I can't say if they've changed process or inks :(
Find a (tiny :D ) corner and give it a good scrub with detergent and hot water......if nothing happens you're probably safe for a cool wash.

Right, I just wondered if she was a printer and knew the smell of hot lead :) but she'd doubtless be much too young.

Yep. And the days when the pub had a tied line to the copy taker so you could phone it in from the bar. All changed sadly. Young journos these days are more likely to be in the gym than the pub.

Happy days, and all true. I've got friends who were newspaper journalists back then. There are still a few proper ones left.
