I’m planning on a massive terrain drive in order to get some consistency through my tables.
I’ve been down to the local woods, yes a notorious dogging spot... I’ve sieved through the discarded condoms, abandoned dog excrement and hastily left flytip piles to accumulate a sack of sturdy twigs.
I want to go down that sort of last valley look, topping with the rubberised horsehair I bought 180 years ago.
How is the best way of attaching these to the wooden bases?
Hot glue gun (sexy. Second only to a dremel)?
Screwed?
Stryrene layer?
Any tips and techniques gratefully received from you master-terrainers

Terrain is a comin', oh yeah.
Terrain is a comin', oh yeah.
Terrain is a comin',
Terrain is a comin'
Terrain is a comin', oh yeah.
I don't know why, but I feel strangely unburdened and better placed to face the afternoon, after having shared that with you all.

I’m doing the same at the moment and drilled my ‘trunks’ and pushed a metal spike into it and the MDF base with copious amounts of glue.
But I wish I’d seen this tutorial before I started:

That is similar to what I did but I hotglued a clout nail to the base and then drilled the trunk to accept the nail, fixing it with more hotglue.

Hot glue guns seem to be the answer.
