Apparently the Helion edition comes with its own map book...

Bugger.. three beers in and i decided i needed the Rubicon Comet & Panzer III, but that gets me a £3 discount on the next order with my 'Rubi Rewards' - 'just when i thought I was out, then they pull you back in... '

Yes, I got it when it was first published by Helion and it has a separate map booklet.

With my Wellingtonic mojo having dried up for the time being, I've changed tack to Seven Years War and have ordered some Old Glory 15s Austrian infantry from Timecast, to finish off the Bavarian Auxiliary Corps. Also some more flags from Fighting 15s.

It does, but that only shows major roads and towns. It helps, but I have Normandy with Sat images of Google Earth quality, French topo maps, scanned michelin maps, and a number of 1944 air photos, topo maps and other items. It makes understanding what's going on much easier.

With my birthday coming up.. over the last week, a couple of rubicon vehicles, the 21st Pz book, and warlord roman engineers and civilians. Now I need to stop for a bit till my painting mojo catches up after some bulk purchases earlier this year.

I was wondering how I'd make it to Christmas until a ebay sale of some scrap figures to America for £172 and over £400 tax back I wasnt expecting I think its time for a flutter..

But what project to add too? Might get a Rubicon Tiger for the painting comp at Virtual Vappa and some shinies?

Well, if we're doing a Rubicon vehicle class :) That Cromwell could be fun, or maybe even the nice new Pz III E.

Almost succumbed to a Warlord/Bolt Action special offer of free tank crews and extras (eg snipers or other special teams) if you buy a plastic boxed set. Until I discovered at the last minute that the boxed sets didn't include tank bundles (I wanted the Early War French set - two Somuas and three R40s).

Oh well, just have to wait for Black Friday......
