Billion Suns

Post by tim.w »

Anyone else spied the new Osprey Publishing game due out next year? I saw it on their future titles a while back but then it disappeared, seems to be back on for release around Feb. It's a Sci Fi fleet level game. Having played Star Wars Armada I'm intrigued.

Sent an e mail flyer about it in the summer. Sounded good but the release date poured cold water on my urge to order it.
I am looking for something in that line but for the moment I’m just keeping an eye on the release date and hoping some more new information about the rules surfaces to help me make up my mind whether to flash the cash.
Does anyone on the forum know anything about the rules?

So this isn't about some amoral chancer who ran a dodgy fertility clinic then......?

That is no way to speak about the medical professionals in our membership.
I know when to go out

There's more than one medical professional on here?

That might depend on how you define "professional".

Starship games are very easy to do badly and there's only a couple I've found satisfying (Full Thrust and A call to Arms). I have some fleets needing an outing though so I might have a look when it comes out.

Having had a look on the website it sounds a bit odd but interestingly done. Ive looked at the space version of memoir 44 but the ships were awful. Armada is brilliant but quite deep and you always end up buying tonnes of extra ships, making an £80 boxed game a £400 game very quickly. Im finding myself sorry I sold my X-Wing stuff now.
