Typically disasters came from underestimating either the resolve or the sophistication of the opponents. Ah well. In other news, I decided to leave the shields as is - at least for the moment.

Isnt a shortage of dwarves just the collective noun. A shortage of dwarves, a stink of goblins, a flock of birds?

Doug, I normally paint my shields if that happens. Either trying to match the shield colour or a bright contrasting colour. A bit of Strong Tone blends it in

That’s what I’ve done in the past.

Today is goblin, sorry, dwarf Orcs, day. Same as yesterday. And tomorrow.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.
