The fact of the matter is we’re not going to be able to please everyone and that’s ok. As long as the majority can make whatever weekend is chosen, that’s fine. Otherwise we’ll just keep going round in circles.

I did look at the 9 bedroom holiday cottage on a nearby Estate to us, a couple of years ago for that purpose. Although the prices and room sizes seemed "doable" at the time there wasn't the interest so, unlike the sale of cheap lasagne, I gave up flogging the dead horse :D

You could do flogging a dead horse as your entry for March of the Zombies.

I would have though that sort of thing would indeed be doable. If we totted up what everyone pays individually for hotels and the hall hire it probably comes to quite a lot. Esp. If it was a 4-nighter. Obviously Ayton is a cheap as chips option for me but I’d be open to something different

Blimey, for some reason I thought any date in November was OK, I must've misread something.
As said, it doesn't have to be Ayton for a four day bosh - it could be anywhere. Should we all, or some of us, have a look at hotels with conference rooms, tables etc? I've looked before & it was expensive, but that may change. The problem here with the Lodge, Forge etc is that they want their 'long rooms' to be free for Sunday lunch etc, but there's other places, obviously. I quite like Framlingham, I have to say. 😁

I'm happy with any dates (other than the two September weekends) and am happy to travel. I wonder if places might be so glad of the business by late this year that they are giving discounts?

Yes, Framlingham would suit me too, but as yet there are no possible venues. The Crown has closed it's doors until "the Spring", and our old room is now the Community volunteer HQ and likely to remain so for the foreseeable future. There are two other potential venues, but as they are both closed for now, I am unable to investigate further. Should this change I will get back to you. I do not imagine that will be until this current lockdown is over.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.
