Should I break into "Home, home on the range:?
Or "Garryowen"?

A peloton of regular French infantry via the North Star 20% discount offer, to be painted up as Tirailleurs Senegalese, who never did anything so daft as to wear a fez in the front line. I also considered some samples from the Bavarian off-shoot of the 1866 ranges (flat caps - and presumably whippets and black puddings - instead of raupenhelms), but all 1866 codes appear to be "out of stock". Perhaps fortunately.....

I think in one of the newsletters Last year they said they were temporarily suspending production of some ranges due to lockdowns . 1866 was one of them I think.

Yes, I've just had a reply to a question I sent them, saying it's "self-isolating" for the time being (and there's nothing more on the workbench for that sub-range), but they will announce when it's back some time in the spring.

I might have accidentally taken advantage of the Northstar sale thing. But I didn't buy any Fallschirmjaeger. Honest.

Were they Fallschirmjaeger disguised as Belgians or Dutch perhaps?
