Re: What are people buying?
Four rattle cans from Plastic Soldier Company (see my earlier thread on suitable colours for early war armour) as part of a special offer - German Panzer Grey and Field Grey, and Russian dark green and British khaki for the French armour/infantry.

I will look forward to seeing those.levied troop wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 1:38 pm Technically an older purchase, but my Footsore Baron’s War KS second batch are now on their way.
The painting table needs to be cleared in readiness, this could mean a night shift.
My Warlord Games Heer Winter Support group and specialists pack showed up, they were on special offer. So that''s basically all my Late War Germans required for a Chain of Command platoon with supports. Or rather more than will actually get onto a table, perhaps a Late War Panzer IVJ ... Rubicon make a nice one... Hmmm.
Re: What are people buying?
Warbases order and my copy of WSS came today. I've had Freya all day so was allowed out of my chains to build my new paint rack. I'm attempting to pay much more attention to quality brushes and a small but much better organised painting desk, less shite on it and focus on small groups of figures getting finished.
Re: What are people buying?
Yep, I've been hovering a finger over the buy button on that panzer IV for a while. I had a resin one from Warlord from years back and it was awful I think I left it in the garage back at my mums? Just couldnt paint it well.Shahbahraz wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 5:05 pmI will look forward to seeing those.levied troop wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 1:38 pm Technically an older purchase, but my Footsore Baron’s War KS second batch are now on their way.

Especially as I have just finished off some Late War winter finish supports.
Re: What are people buying?
If you need any more winter war stuff I have these soviet assault troops and Finns plus a bag of ski Finns that might not be entirely complete? Yours for £25 incl postage.Shahbahraz wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 1:47 amYep, I have the old Warlord Pz IV. It's horrible. Re: What are people buying?
Are you two just talking about the mid-/late-war model? I've got the early war version (a D, I think) still in the box - well, bubble-wrap to be strictly accurate; does that one have any problems that you know of?

Re: What are people buying?
HI Baron,
the late war Warlord PzIV with schurzen is just nasty. I can't speak to the early war models. I converted a Warlord plastic one, before Rubicon brought out their plastic kit.
Here's what I think is a Warlord Resin Late War Panzer IV G/H one.

It's horrible.

It looks like the crew tried to render it inoperable before they broke down/ran out of fuel/got hit.
No, the early war one isn't too bad. I'm going to try and put it together and paint it for Germanuary (not sure about the decals, though - might leave those for a mate to do).
