Some of the Essex Miniàures Seljuk Turks I got from Simon and John. Origionally I got a few in the lucky dip from Simon and it sparked an interest in doing a DBx based army of Seljuks. Next thing I had aquired a whole army from John. This will be a slow burn project. I'm not painting them to my best standard as the aim is to just get them done and into some games. I origionally planned to shiny them for a vintage look but they turned out well just as they are.

They do look rather nice. Essex figures, dull but workmanlike...

I don't know whether I've just become conditioned to seeing such "older" figures trying to chuck telegraph poles at the enemy, but those thinner, more realistic spears just don't quite look right.....

Otherwise, lovely job all round, TW.

I know what you mean. Just couldnt seem to find old spare spears anywhere. On the plus side they wont turn to spaghetti.
