Here are another sixty Prussian SYW infantry toward the Painting Challenge for 180 points, bringing my total to 4,032. These are all Eureka Miniatures and they are rather nice models!
The regiments are the 13th 'Itzenplitz' Musketeers at the back, the 39th 'Jung-Braunschweig' Fusiliers at the front and the 'Kleist' (4/16) Grenadier Battalion at the left:

Brilliant work.
And if you bought 4,000 Eureka miniatures in the UK these days you'd need about a trillion quid.
So win-win

Cheers chaps. It's just a bit quiet on the railway at the moment. I'm painting 12 per shift at the moment, so they soon rattle through the kanban.World2dave wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 8:54 pm Brilliant work.

Funnily enough, with the current bizarre OG 15s packaging policy (25 figures per pack, with only 1 officer, 1 standard bearer, 1 drummer and 1 NCO, or 9 cavalry, including 1 officer, 1 standard bearer and 1 trumpeter) there isn't much option other than to buy Eureka. I did have a stash of spare OG command figures left over from the days of 'Bags of 100', but I exhausted that stash making up units for the Wurttembergers and Bavarians, when I was buying new packs of OGs, but adding command figures from my stash.
I could go for Blue Moon, but again they do packs and there'll always be 'waste' when you're buying packs. As Blue Moon aren't that much cheaper than Eureka, the wastage means that they'd be about the same price. Eureka also look much nicer to me that Blue Moon...

Especially the horses.

Are they indeed? Old Glory's horses were always bloody awful and I believe it's the same sculptor. Eureka horses are quite big though, but if you're not mixing them in the same unit the difference won't be that noticeable compared to OG.
