I received this figure from Dan at Wargames Illustrated as a gift. It's from his Giants in Miniature range, Hanibal of course. It was sculpted by my son Matt so I really had to paint it to add one final figure to my Punic Wars project...

Beautiful figure. He looks pensive, almost like he knows his inevitable fate.

It's a bit silly bringing an emotional attachment to something that happened so long ago, but due to the Punic Wars, I find it hard to like the Romans....(what have the Romans ever done for us?)

I have much the same feelings about Romans. Which is a bit harsh, but then, I always go for the underdog. Oh, and Asterix books...

Just to prove nothing is ever truly finished, whatever we might think, some civilian figures to fill out the backing scenes in the villa or camp. More of course on the blog.
