Yep, works well once you've found the right level of pressure, as Paul says.
If you press too hard you'll compress the foam (well, the 10mm stuff anyway).
I want the flagstone one too!

After a few false starts my Barons War 2nd Kickstarter stuff has arrived :D Kudos to Andy Hobday for not letting the castings leave the warehouse until they'd all been remade, due to a quality issue with the metal! Everything looks great so something to add to the painting pile...i'll get to them around 2048 (During Lockdown 213)

Out of curiousity, I've seen a few people talking about the Barons War Kickstarter, and I have wondered what rules they have in mind?
Wargames dreams never die, they just get left in a box.

Footsore have written their own, looks like an extension of the Mortal Gods/Test of Honour ruleset.
It came with the Kickstarter but is available now:

https://footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collec ... -war-range

And I may have a copy going spare

Mine arrived as well, although I’ll wait until virtual Vappa to unwrap them.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

I had forgotten, or never realised, that i'd get a copy with the KS, so i've got another copy coming as well :D On the plus side it means i'll get a Free Bishop of Winchester on foot which will be handy with my Monk heavy force.
