Excellent stuff, good to see this campaign underway. Good write-ups all-round.
Well done the Russkies.

Twas a hard fought battle, under these rules you pick up fatigue points as the battle progresses. Four and you rout, but 3 or 2 makkes you vulnerable to routing. I noticed that my opponent was still leading with their fatigued troops, rather than arraqnging a passage of lines to enable fresh ones to come forward. I did the passage of lines thing and whacked em god. If my cavalry hadn't been delayed so long, I might have achieved the army's breakpoint.

Still cursing the loss of those two artillery units.

Another Austrian defeat, but not as bad as the last. The Austrians will retreat further up the Inn. Meantime my Russkies are suspended in space time. When Andrew writes it up I'll post a link.

Someone once wrote something about nothing duller than a wargame OOB - I disagree.

Not much is better than a well written account + photos. The cumulative nature of this is very compelling.

I have to agree - ones like 'The Tactical Painter's AAR on his blog are excellent reads.

I think some can be dreadfully dull. Others can be superb. It’s about weaving a narrative
