Derrick the Trollslayer needed no advice, he just stepped up to the plate - yet again.

And in somewhat disturbing Cthulhu news....
from https://www.theguardian.com/australia-n ... n-atlantic
The Albino penguins (Aptenodytes albus) are a species of penguin described by explorer William Dyer, as standing six-feet-tall, making them larger than even the Emperor Penguin, making it the tallest and heaviest of all living penguin species. The modern Albino Penguins discovered by Dyer and Danforth in Antarctic mountains near the Elder Thing city are concluded through sculptures to be descendants of archaic penguins bred by the Elder Things. .... https://lovecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Albino_penguin

I have been willing to sell my soul for a flight out of Bolivia, Nazis, Commies, the Church, I'd have done business with the lot.

We know what's coming... Randall is going to shit himself again when we meet one of those.
He needs to work on strengthening the old cutting muscle.

Perfectly happy blasting chunks off a troll while all around him were frantically finding something really important that they needed to be doing elsewhere.
Equally happy striking off on his own in the dark without a qualm rather than wait for the remedial class to realise the vehicles were FUBAR.
But.... random monkey?
CODE BROWN! Initiate emergency fudgedump!
It's like art imitating life.

Re: Pulp Cthulhu
Eager to atone for his trouser incident, Randall attempted to use his engineering skills to remove the collar, managing to find the "cause explosion" button instead that blew him backwards allowing the yeti beast to escape up the hillside. Tracks were noticed that led another direction up the volcano but the party gave chase to it until it reached a cave. At one point a strange glass sphere, sparking sphere flew overhead and entered the volcano shaft way above them.
The adventurers entered the cave and stumbled upon the yeti creature and his friends. But by an amazing combination of skill and good fortune, Randall managed to calm them down and demonstrate that the heroes were friendly.
The creatures were performing a funeral ceremony for some of their fallen - seemingly killed in battle with serpent people. The bodies were thrown down a bottomless abyss where a strange rhymical breeze blew upwards and downards carrying a foul stench. On the other side of the abyss could be seen a sickly yellow light coming from a tunnel. A captive mutant serpent man was deftly avoided by Derrick while Karina led the rest of the team and climbed - disappointingly without incident - around the edge of the abyss to the tunnel which opened into what was clearly a facility similar to Borneo. At this point Karina also succeeded in making a skill roll - the first since last year we think.
The team befriended a voormi called Gerald after removing its collar and so far he isn't livid. Dr Singh wrecked a control panel but Hilaire discovered he could open doors by inserting his fingers into the five small holes next to them. That was easy.
Inside the first room to be opened was an array of gugrgling, smoking stone vats. A web of pipes, cables, and telescopic arms, machinery and syringes whirred overhead, one plunging into a bubbling vat and filling the room with steam and stench .
As the clouds of green smoke billlowed towards Hilaire, we left the Frenchman pondering his next move - until the next episode….
