What's the dumbest thing you've done regarding wargaming?
I don't mean errors of judgement like getting into WRG 7th Ed or buying an army before realising that the conflict was effectively unplayable.
This evening's entry for me is turning a figure in my hand to get at the lower areas while holding an open pot of paint in my hand. Pale Flesh paint all down one leg of my black jeans. I do hope it all comes out.

My favourite mistake
I know when to go out
I know when to stay in
Get things done

Re: My favourite mistake
1.) Cutting card with a scalpel and a plastic ruler...not a good combination, especially when the scalpel slips. Brings a whole new concept to flattops (of fingers).
2.) Looking down the nozzle of a can of spray varnish and depressing the thing to find the blockage. Instant but fortunately reversible blindness.
3.) Not covering the lid of a can of Humbrol Grass Green when shaking. The fashionista are right, blue (carpet) and green (paint) just do not go.
Just a few off the top of my head.

1. Putting a newly varnished unit of hoplites on the windowsill that the cat uses to get in. Did you know that the Greeks invented the Ghillie Suit?
2. Using my dremel in a horizontal stand to grind points to shape on spears, dropping a spear and headbutting a hole in my forehead while picking it up.
3. Using a colour checker app on my phone to check the colour of my horse shortly followed by replacing nibbled phone.
plus many more animal/power tool related "oopsie" moments.

God.
Too many. Going for drinks with you lot for starters.
Deciding to come to Ayton ‘18 and having to paint a SYW British army within a year
Experiencing Lincolnshire first hand and up close having been here only three months. Can you spell trauma?
Need I continue?

Re: My favourite mistake
Why, didn't you have a fourth?
Re: My favourite mistake
I’ve popped at least three GMB flags upside down, including on a hussar unit that took 6 weeks to paint.
And especially when after the first time, I concentrated really hard on not doing. Then forgot.
Wargames Factory WSS Cavalry.
Buying Any 28mm plastic multipart figure set.
Just why.
Towels.
