Re: What are people buying?
That’s the one I got and I’m very happy with it. The fleece is lightweight but strong with a slight stretch. Covers hills nicely without too many folds. The tone on the autumn mat is the best grass one I think (see link below to mine). The greens are all a touch brighter than their website pictures so the autumn one is most subdued, also it doesn’t have many pictures of rocks which I found a bit jarring and unnatural on the others

It isn’t an awful lot bigger than 6x4 so you can put hills under it but you may find there’s not enough material overhang to cope with very large or steep ones .Only other downside is that one corner has a small logo on but you really don’t notice it

Re: What are people buying?
Is it actually fluffy, or just flat cloth that appears to be?

Just flat cloth with a photo image of fluffiness which I think looks good but ones with huge pebbles look too false

I think I saw them using pebbly cloths in The Patriot, explains everything.

I see what you mean about the colour being spot on - there's a good level of realism there.

He's now suggesting the a set of Moss troopers in Dutch cassocks might be next into the stalls.....Shahbahraz wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 3:56 pm Captain Blood explicitly said on LAF that the Bicorne/Renegade etc ranges provided plenty of good rank and file figures, so he was looking at a more niche type range.

It looks good and just right to throw over a kitchen table. Looks like I have found something to spend the birthday money I got from my kids on.goat major wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 8:39 pm Just flat cloth with a photo image of fluffiness which I think looks good but ones with huge pebbles look too false
Thanks for the photos

Re: What are people buying?
Well, a mere three pages ago, I said that the only thing left for me to buy in terms of 1:300 coastal vessels was Italians, So, I just bought an Italian "fleet pack" off eBay - about £20 off the Warlord price if you include P&P (this guy delivers free) and £40 off buying the contents individually (again, at Warlord prices). In fact, I was so happy with myself, I bought a pack of two Fairmile B rescue boats for £18 (half price, this time) and I'm now looking at a Royal Navy fleet box at the same price as the Italian one. Whilst this would give me more Vospers and Fairmile Ds (admittedly two different ones), these will be painted for the Channel, whereas my existing stuff will probably be used for the Med. The box will also provide an armed trawler/minesweeper. The reason for this sudden surge - apart from the very good prices - is the discovery, via The Wargames Website, of two articles on coastal warfare in the Med, complete with a total of 49 scenarios. About half of these feature PT Boats with RN help/hindrance (scenario 1 involves two RN destroyers firing on the PT Boats because nobody could recognise them - it does get better after that though); the other half feature RN boats and smaller ships against the Regina Marina and Kriegsmarine, including Siebel Ferries, Marinefahrprahms, Mottozarettas, and the more usual MAS/S-Boats.
