I do my Wellingtonics in full dress. I'd love to do Normandy in full dress.

You can land in Normandy in a dress, but the coastal wind gets right up your skirt and your heels sink into the sand.

Tim - Yes, and the 19th and 30th Foot who arrived with them. There are accounts of them suffering from the heat and insects due to their "European" uniforms. It's not clear how long they remained dressed in that fashion, but it would certainly account for the fact that the Buffs was down to no more than half strength at Eutaw Springs.
