Or use modelling clay (DAS & the like). Wood glue will stick that onto an MDF or card building shell nicely.

A bit more progress. Just one side more to do and then tiling the other side of the roof and the roof cap. Think I will go with stones around the windows. There’ll be a little grave yard in front of the tower as well I think

I do not like the tower, the courses run vertically not horizontally.
