Drat, drat and double drat
Our club will be restarting soon in the new facility at Airbus but..
We can't have our usual night
Our storage space is down by 60%
The floor space available gives a maximum of 6 6' x 5' tables.
It will cost us £30 a night.
We have been totally spoilt for the last 20 years or so. We had enough space for 60 or so people to play although some were board game players or RPG groups who took up less space. The old space was free but we used our £1 a week subs to buy social membership of the club

Well, someone's got to pay for Boris's wallpaper (and it can't be a Conservative donor).

Blame Starmer! If he didn't go round causing bother in pubs we could all have free sandwiches.

Not saying that this is what's happened in Buffs case, but just prompted me to consider, at our local village hall, of which I am the treasurer, the Covid closure & upcoming reopening seems to have sent some people a bit batty. A lot of them want different hours & times, and seem to think that they're the only ones who ever use it. Some have cancelled altogether, then want to come back & are annoyed that in the meantime someone else has taken their space. Some think they should pay less or get a discount for coming back. It's all quite odd. At least none of them have actually blamed Brexit (not yet - there's always time for that daftness) but we have partially redecorated. Bet some folkster doesn't like it & complains.

I heard the Ayton WI Knit and Natter group were all stuck on that ship in the Suez still.
