Nice. Haven't played TTS. All my 15mm stuff was purchased for DBM & DBMM, which no bugger around here plays. My Carthos and Polynians are still in Oz though

You’d probably find all your DBM stuff will just morph into a TSS army with little to no work. I’ve got an Essex 15mm Carthaginian army that I bought for DBM years ago that will work as a TSS army and also all the allies will work as dba forces..... which is nice

I was a big DBM player...in all senses...I'm on the fence with TtS. Having to start again as all my painted DBM armies got sold off after four or five years with no use. The Blemmyes escaped the cull as they were in the unpainted boxes

Yeah, i read a few reviews of the TTS set a couple of years back and it didn't tick my boxes, with a gridded system and playing cards not dice. Then the combat system looks blunt, and the need for chits. All a bit boardgame for my liking.

I confess I still really like DBMM. Despite the best efforts during development to try and get a plain English re-write it's still a game you need to play regularly though Not one for casual play.

I guess I have plenty of other games to play...

The grid actually helps, And one of its key points is it is for biggish battles and moves fast.

Probably worth a look, but not to everyones taste.

Coincidentally I’ve just been reboxing /reviewing the Bronze Age armies I’ve got hard-based for DBA/M (all 28mm) and wondering about using the rules for Barons War.
Did try TtS in one of the last games we managed to get in the club but wasn’t impressed - I think the grid system offended my delicate sensibilities.

Bronze Age for DBM in 28mm? Well, that would look spectacular. There were a couple of Elamite and Sumerian armies in 15mm when I used to play in Oz, and they always looked impressive, even in 15mm. I just never had a big enough table to do DBM(M) in 28mm.
