Wow- those are nice
Re: Royal Écossais Crann Tara miniatures.
That is a superb unit.
The Blue Bonnets are the grenadiers, I think?
Apart from everything else, I think the flags are one of the nicest in the period.
Keep showing stuff like this: I'm a fan.

Very good, Willz.
Was a mix of tricornes and bonnets actually worn by the historical unit, or is that just artistic licence on your part?

I think bonnets were worn during 1745 Jacobite rebellion, maybe afterwards but tricornes were worn from start to finish. Various sources give white turnback's or red turnback's depends on the year. Some give different cuffs you pays you money you takes your chance. I have chosen the tricornes and bonnets different styles as I liked the colours.

Cheers Donald, I am not sure if they are grenadiers (there is a source in a Scottish museum stating they had a grenadier hat) but I think I will call them grenadiers as they look cool.
