A Subedar(?) - a junior native officer. I found a picture on the web thingie of such officers in red rather than blue headwear and thought it might add interest.

The 20th Light Dragoons, figures from Trent Miniatures, sporting a head proxying the tropical service helmet after a fashion. They will do for me as the only alternative I found was the plastic tatt from the Perrys. More on the blog for the odd interested type.
