You could play against the person who is drawn against EB - otherwise they’ll have nothing to do after turn oneBuff Redux wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 5:44 am I don't mind playing Judas and changing sides half way through so long as money is involved. Unless my side is winning of course.

Oooh, harsh. Actually EB's Dystopian Army had a pretty good weekend on their last outing at Fram in '19, they really kicked ass, mine mainly I'm sad to say.goat major wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 1:40 pmYou could play against the person who is drawn against EB - otherwise they’ll have nothing to do after turn oneBuff Redux wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 5:44 am I don't mind playing Judas and changing sides half way through so long as money is involved. Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.

EB's army is very lovely and made by his own fair hand too.

I think this forum is much richer for having the two Tims on board.
Splendid fellows, both.

If it's anything like GM's tutorial, Peeler will open by explaining how your troops are all shite Landwehr with hangovers, while his happen to be Old Guard. Enjoy!Ilkley Old School wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 7:13 pmI hope so. I am looking to the Master Peeler to teach me the ways of DBN.

I wouldn't say that Peeler favours the French in Napoleonics, but C'est la vie.

Yeh I remember that “teaching” game. ‘Oh it’s turn 4 that means my reserve general comes on ‘ says Peeler. ‘Who’s that ?’ I innocently ask .
Napoleon
With the old guard,
That certainly taught me .

That is so much bullshit. I remember that game, at Framlingham, and the Guard wasn't on.
What I said to you, after you'd lost, and whilst you were becoming very emotional, was that the next follow on scenario would be Napoleon turning up with the Guard.
It was a historical scenario, was it Ney at Katsbach (?) trying to hold back the combined Austrian Russian Prussian armies in a rearguard action? You being the Allies, wanted to be as far forward as you could, for the following scenario.
If I recall correctly, you f'ed it up completely, began to cry, ran outside and accused some non Wargaming passer by of cheating.
Or something very similar.

Two sides to every story then.
Gentlemen of the jury, you have heard the cases for both sides. It is now for you to determine who was telling the truth.
