Everyone's pet hate. I normally black undercoat and generally dont do too much beyond an ink wash and horsey markings, eyes, snout. I've white undercoated my Goth cavalry as I wanted a brighter look. Have base coloured and plan to ink wash and highlight. Not sure at what point to paint reigns etc.
I've seen excellent horse by you chaps so wondered if you had a method?

Have a look for Lokis Greathall on YouTube. He does a load of vids on horses.

Ultimate foolproof method for horse painting? Get someone else to do it.

Re: Painting horses
In COTOTS you paint heavy cvavalry dark brown, light cavalry pale brown and no mucking about.

Airbrush. provided the original model has decent sculpting, it works a treat.
