Happy Friday, everyone.
Tim, having only played this once, all I can say is that it was easy to pick up, the rules are very "bloody" and there's buckets of dice- all of which seem to be the way rules are going these days. Most importantly it was fun to play. With the small number of units, though, the rules didn't really get stress tested.
Baron, I've noticed the same. Some scales just seem to "fit" some periods better than others. 20mm is a bit of an outlier, but if 15/18mm keep growing then Donald will have a lot more choice in a couple of years.
Grizzles, it was a good, enjoyable game, even though I'm not particularly interested in the period. There were only about 60 figures on each side so it would be doable, mate. All you need to decide now is scale, manufacturer and rules, and you'll be ready to go.
Go on, you know you want to.
First game in months.

If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Re: First game in months.
Next weekend but one is the battle of somewhere in Bavaria in our 1805 campaign, can the Austrians win? Followed on Sunday, by our first club meet for monthse, probably WRG Peninsular.
Mate, no choice:
6mm
Baccus
Now, rules are a thing. I have a set of settler rules in the baxk of my mind. The campaign involves lots of native groups, each with a slightly different VP schedule, settler groups who need to survive and prosper, prospectors who want to strike it rich with their hair on, and a harrassed military commander whose VPs depend on keeping the peace.

Oh, and traders and gun runners, and probably a Marshal or two.
Re: First game in months.
Baccus should be able to supply all that, mate. It would make an interesting campaign, especially if you bring in a casual player now and again to play a non-faction character (aka throw brown stuff in the fan).
1805? Depends on where they are- they should probably avoid Ulm, if they can. Enjoy your club meeting, mate. Our first game took up ~ 1/3 of the time, the rest was just gas-bagging and catching up.
