Leeds Fiasco, Sunday 31st October

Looking good Time
Having sen the earlier photo where they were sold in bags like unpainted figures I'm amazed that they weren't all chipped

So what are you DBN plans?

To be fair, the British cavalry were bagged in twos and chipping has occured but repairable. I've just got three more guns to base up and I'm done for now. Have a few spare figures left over. This lot would give a decent game but its just the start. I'll add a lot more various horse units and artillery options.
I will likely use these for more than DbN, such as One Hour Wargames. Was initially buying the armies for Peninsular battles but the French and British will do for other theatres too.
In total this lot cost me the bargain price of £140. It would have taken me years to paint myself.

I have only played one game of DBN but am playing in Peelers DBN game at Ayton so hopefully I will learn the rules from the master.
I have a bunch of 15mm but I am wondering about making sabots 75 by 40mm and using my classic Napoleonics with 12 figure infantry units and 4/5 cavalry.

Thanks for posting the photos, Tim. I have to time my next visit to coincide with one of the big shows, if I can.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Judging from the photos, I would say your figures are Xan Miniatures - look a bit like ABs from a distance, but when you get up close and look at the fine detail, there are distinct differences. Might explain why there were ABs mixed in with them.

Surely there is one more step - have you thought of Gloss varnishing them?.
