How do you feel about camel toes?

Should we be able to assume that light cavalry that dismounted, ie. some Hussars and Light Dragoons would also be treated in the same way? (Whilst obviously still be LC when mounted).

Yep, I see no reason why cavalry can't fight dismounted - in a historical context, obviously.

It will be helpful to put a 'light' copy of the rules out before you chaps get too heavily into organising your toys. I'll do that within the week. Assuming I'm not dead from Covid (feeling great, no symptoms, tested negative on Saturday - therefore, bolted on certainty that yesterday's test will be positive).

I used to use Charles Grant's "The Wargame" with a previous oppo and we used 'Squadrons' of 9 figures where individual Squadrons are the tactical unit, my Dragoons are line of battle cavalry so no dismounted elements. I can always double them up into two lines giving a unit of 18 figures or leave 'em as individual squadrons of 9 figs. I don't have a huge collection of SYW but it sounds like too many figures is going to be the problem 😄😄

Hence the 3 brigades per player. But go for spectacle as well.

Two squadrons together in two ranks would look awesome - a moral victory before the first D6 is rolled. But a nine figure unit would be OK as well. Let's see how the numbers work out and take it from there. The best I can do at the moment is say 'watch this space'.

Plenty of time to paint the extras to bring those 9s up to 12s though...

Just sayin'...

I'm sceptical about 12's.

12 camel guns seems a trifle naughty.

Camel guns are orffff.

However that leaves me time to bring the elephants up to 24s from 18s.
