So, I've logged everything on the kanban this year. The virtual Vappa was a great start to the year and boosted my mojo to get the Early War German stuff done, resulting in a game with wifey. Since then 2021 has mostly been about getting the 42mm shiny armies done. I've probably sold more than I've actually bought. Very few parcels in the post this year but thats been a good thing. I finally feel I'm starting to have decent collections I can game with beyond 54mm and WWII.
Prepped, primed and undercoated quite a lot of stuff, but no actual paint applied. Oh, just a wee bit onto to some 1:300 boats for a game of Coastal Patrol, but that's it. A kanban would just be a waste of paper. And ink. Well, not so much with the ink as there wouldn't be very much to put on there.
Kein Plan überlebt den ersten Kontakt mit den Würfeln. (No plan survives the first contact with the dice.) Baron Mannshed von Wreckedoften, First Sea Lord of the Bavarian Admiralty.
As at today, I’ve painted (all 28mm) the following since 1 January:
310 infantry
11 cavalry
2 chariots
1 giant
4 buildings
4 Force Morale trackers
25 scatter terrain pieces and odds and ends
That’s 357 ‘things’. I plan to do at least another 15 Stealers and maybe start on some Orc Cowboyz before the end of the year.
In terms of projects, I’ve started and completed my FJ, will finish the entire SH box come hell or high water, and managed two large, playable forces of Dwarves and Beastmen. Probably my most prolific year ever. Not sure I can match it next year.
I'm not sure of my total tally (given I've still got some painting mojo left in me), but my Romans for Ayton numbered 368 of which only the 2 elephants weren't painted this year (the majority being done since roughly May/June)
All in all, with the Dacians, Oathmark Skeltons and the tale end of the War of the Roses stuff, I'm on over 450 28mm figures and 8 War Machines for the year so far!!
Wanna try to get this first Regiment of ECW done too, so that'd be an additional 40...
