Niche wars

Post by Buff Redux »

Is there a conflict with a very small range of available figures that has an irrational appeal to you?

I mean, why wouldn't you want to game the Greek War of Independence?

Well, the Irish UN mission in the Congo and the Seige at Jadotville led to all the Kumbahyah stuff.

Been tempted to buy a bunch of WWI Australians and a load of kangaroos thinking it would make a good skirmish.

Would the kangaroos have guns or would you just give them boxing gloves and extra stats for a tail whip?? 🤣

I don't think there is anything niche any more (apart from EB's basing). You can pick any hugely obscure conflict, mention it ANYWHERE online and by the end of the month there's an extensive range of 3d printed figures and at least 2 sets of self published rules...

Lemmings?
Maybe a bit too predictable on-table, especially if there are any really steep hills.
