How log does Spencer Smith Miniatures take?

Post by Zenbadger »

Evenin all.

I placed an order with Spencer Smith about a week ago asking for a paypal invoice but as yet no reply. I haven't bought from SSM before, are they just slow and not very talkative?

Peter Johnstone is the 'one man band' behind SSM.

I've placed many orders with him via e-mail over the years. I wouldn't worry if its been just a week and perhaps ten days to a fortnight would be about average. I doubt he keeps a stock of figures, so he could be casting your stuff even as I write! Maybe.

Having ordered from Peter recently I think Iain is right that he doesn't keep stock of most things. He is also a little bit, quirky, organisation wise, so I wouldn't worry too much.
I also know that he won't invoice you until he has the figures cast, packed and ready to go.....but a chase up may be worth it in a couple of days.

Fair enough, I'll give it another week. I'm getting too used to the lightning fast service from the likes of GZG, Warbases and Gripping Beast.

Zen, it only takes EB’s that long as they have to cross the post apocalyptic wastelands of Essex. Fighting off the toxic zombies and avoiding all the Chavs in their Mad Max cars.

I’m sure yours will be quicker

Could it be snow-related?

Not when crossing the Jungles of Essex, of course all the rivers will be in spate from the snow on the High Essex Veldt.

Wise words, Grizzle. Unlike those of that Jeremy bloke, who I believe may be ragging me.
