What's on your workbench?

Two Panzer I Bs and a Panzerjager I, bought in a Black Friday 3-for-2 deal from Warlord. I had hoped to take advantage of the predicted seasonally high temperatures around Haslemere today, but the 11-12 degrees Celsius never materialised and we were down in the 6-8 range, so priming and base-coating with rattle spray cans was ruled "awf tha 'genda".

Oh well, there's always next year.....

And whilst I'm here, does anyone know what colour(s) the inside of a Panzerjager I should be? I have a feeling they were manned by artillery troops, rather than tankies, so normal uniforms with red waffenfarbe, but nothing on vehicle and turret interiors. Any help greatly appreciated.

I left my interiors in Panzer Grey. I think tank interiors were ivory or off white, but that seems unlikely for exposed areas. Certainly later Panzerjager were base colour on the fighting platform.

What Doug said, basically. Crew spaces below the upper hull deck (as in covered by it) white/off white, everything else the same exterior base colour of the vehicle. It was pretty much the same for all countries, in fact- the light coloured interior helped the crew see what they were doing.

Yeah, what they said, but the exposed interior of open-topped vehicles and hatch interiors were painted in the base camouflage colour. As Dal says, the Allies did the same, but the British Army changed early in WW2 from white paint to silver metallic paint, as it was found that when hit, the metallic paint turned to powder and wouldn't injure the crew, whereas high-velocity paint flakes could cause wounds.

Panzerjager crews were always from the panzer branch of service, so crews had rose-pink as their branch colour, the same as panzer crews. However, some specifically StuG units (i.e. those described as StuG in the unit title rather than Panzerjager) were manned by the artillery branch, as were some towed anti-tank units (the latter would have 'Artillerie-PaK' or just 'Artillerie' in the unit title).

Yep, AWI specifically.

Given it is 42mm it is not too bad a footprint size.
