What are people buying?
Re: What are people buying?
I've ordered a Norman Fort in 2 parts so postage not too bad in the end at GBP 48 - that's the price for living in such a lovely place!
Re: What are people buying?
True.
The cost of getting stuff delivered in Essex is eye watering.
But I suppose it is a very, very, big place.

Done a lot of resisting since my pre christmas/birthday treats nearly bought a Sherman jumbo in the warlord tank sale but really want to spend time on my current pile atm. Ordered some army painter plastic sprue cutters. Same price with postage as the dodgy looking ones in hobbycraft.
I'd quite like a little paint tray but the ones I've seen from Sarrisa etc look a bit big and seemed a bit pricey for a bit of wood.
I might not be finished buying DbA 15mm armies either.

For a painting tray, I use a kitchen tray on on foldable lap top lap rest.
And best place to get sprue cutters is model railway shops. I paid £5 for mine, they are sold as track cutters.
Airfix/humbrol do quite a nice one though.

Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.

I did get a cushion tray for my Birthday. Not sure if it was a dig at my age to be honest. But its great for sorting through new packets of figures. What I need is something that can be taken from my desk to the table with paints etc already sorted.Tim Hall wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 2:04 pmJust a thought from outside the box Timbo, how about this?tim.w wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 1:28 pm Done a lot of resisting since my pre christmas/birthday treats nearly bought a Sherman jumbo in the warlord tank sale but really want to spend time on my current pile atm. Re: What are people buying?
I used go keep my paints in an old tool box and use a dinner tray. Funnily enough, even though now I have a permanent station, I still use the tray as I like it for wresting my wrists upon when painting. It’s just a cheap old mdf tray

No. It's because it's very, very, big.FreddBloggs wrote: ↑Sun Jan 02, 2022 8:59 am It us not the size if the place that makes it expensive EB, it is the danger money you have to pay the delivery crews to evven venture there!
