Schaumburg-Lippe grenadier battalion and more.

Post by Willz the Wargamer »

Finished these yesterday Schaumburg-Lippe grenadier battalion, based on the regiment but the uniforms for the grenadiers are of my imagination and artistic licence. Figures Zvezda 20mm plastic GNW.

Good work, mate. It's nice to see someone else giving grenadiers colours, as well.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

It's a sin not to give grenadiers flags.......big flags.

Because the mountainous headgear and huge moustaches alone don't get the message across sufficiently clearly?

Cheers for all your kind comments, yes I am a firm believer that most units need a flag to fight with. When the nay says bemoan that grenadiers don't have flags, I point out would they fight for someone who would not respect you enough to honour your courage with a flag :) .

I think the "respect" came from assuming they didn't need one as they never had to rally, or could do so without one.

I am only taking about my little metal and plastic toys when I say respect and courage, I hear them talking about me at night :).
