The Wily Boer and Chief Bykelezi

Post by Penda »

A return to action in C19th Southern Africa in GHQ yesterday, pitting the wily Boer Van Robhinsaan against the cunning and devious Chief Bykelezi. More on the blog as usual for any interested parties - not the No10 sort of course, oh no...

Great stuff, and interesting to see your "out of the box" approach to AZW with not a red coat in sight. Lovely figures as Willz says, I'm guessing a mix of Empress and Perry?
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.

An exciting game.
With plenty of cavalry, I see the Boers weren't held down by excess numbers of slow-moving infantry. ie they could take the fight to the Zulus.
Do you allow them to dismount & fight?

Almost all Empress Miniatures, just a few Foundry, old and new range, Zulus.

They can fire and fight both mounted & dismounted. We count Partially Obscured if they dismount, taking into account their superior fieldcraft skills.
