Purps is lending me some Russians so I should be able to do the 3 brigade standard now. This is of course dependent on Purps memory and organisational capability ......

I''ve just assessed the likely outcomes:

Figures arrive but are painted acid green and orange. 12%
Purps arrives 36 hours late without figures 21%
Purps disappears to Marbella 17%
Everything arrives on time and looks lovely then fails all its rolls to hit an orange tree and routs off table 50%

Pity about the setting, I'm longing to get this onto a table again

What cavalry would you recommend getting? I'm ideally looking at keeping my army plastic due to the fact I can't use superglue. I've been looking at the Warlord Games AWI stuff for the majority of my army.

Hello there. Long time no see.

Hmmmmm plastic cavalry.......

Well, I absolutely hate the Warlord Games Spanish Succession cavalry - it's horrible - but it's the only set I know of with tricorns. You could get a box of Napoleonic cavalry and pretend they're 18thC? In fact, I imagine there's not much difference between a Napoleonic hussar and an 18thC hussar.

Hotel Tim, clever sod, stuck a tricorn head on some Napoleonic Cuirassiers. Very smart.

Best of luck.

Iain
