Those are lovely
I've just finished some Templars in the range
And I now recognise the cart! The missing cage confused me

Re: HMS Priapus' Flying Bridge
Been off on a few tangents recently. January was fairly slow as painting was concerned but spent some time on my ongoing ancients projects. Etruscans here, for a small Saga-sized force - in the Hannibal book I believe these could run nicely as the 'Graeculi' given the similarities in equipment and tactics.
Also been working with my friend Rex to move the ECW project along. Good progress recently. Some Covenanter levies (rex) and the MacDonald's of Keppoch (my work) both nearing completion below.

Those Etruscan gayboys are not my thing, but they are quite magnificent. The ECW are very addictive.

Always fascinated by ECW Covenanter/Scots Royalist armies - yours is shaping up to be a particularly nice one.

Re: HMS Priapus' Flying Bridge
Thanks, as always, gentlemen.
Continuing with my 16-17th century stuff for the time being. Figured I should strike while the iron was hot; for some reason I have always found it challenging to motivate to paint this period. Despite the fact that I really enjoy pike and shot games. So, a little speed paint of sorts, or what passes for one with me anyway, was in order. Have had these Conquistadors languishing in the pile for ages. Now nearing completion of the old Foundry horde... to which I will add a few mounted, that cute little Foundry pocket cannon, and some dogs.
Otherwise, I'm working on my end of the Montrose campaign. Outside of the highland clansmen, which I've taken on, my wingman Rex continues to produce the rank and file, while I focus on the command, personality, and a variety of battlefield markers.
We play tested the old Perfect Captain rules last weekend, which we both have decided to settle on for the basis of our games. A few shots here of the game with what's currently table ready(ish). Wish his lighting was a bit better for photography...
Quite a few nearly done, but for now here is a 'Humiliation' marker. Perhaps more games would benefit from adding this to status to their mechanics.

Some such thing... here's the reverse view!
Added some more odds and ends to the Montrose project since my last update. Got a bit more proficient with the green stuff along the way to another rules play test.
Subsequently staged a section of fframe guns for the next game.
And did some productive re-basing this week on an older project, as work had me otherwise occupied, so solid painting sessions were hard to manage.
