Given that the F&IW started in 1754 and the SYW didn't kick off until 1756, should we not say that the latter was very much part of the former?

Was there not a cold war between the Brits and the evil smelling froggies, one which was allowed to spill over in the 3rd word, but needed will and money to become war in Europe? Basically from 1066 to now?
