They're looking good, Mark. Perhaps add a Saxon brigade (Prinz Karl Chevauxlegers and Garde du Corps) to round things out?
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Thanks Dal!

I actually did the Saxon Chevauxleger brigade about 25 years ago and they remain probably my favourite brigade: http://www.jemimafawr.co.uk/2021/03/26/ ... ar-part-1/

I've also got 12 spare Austrian cuirassiers that will become a new Saxon Karabiniergarde sometime soon. There's also the Pfalz Leibdragonerregiment 'Kurfurstin' and the Wurttemberg Horse Grenadiers languishing in the lead-dungeon.

I went looking, mate, but didn't go back far enough. I don't know why, but I've developed a soft spot for the Saxons- though I'll just be building one BN and one CAV regiment. My SYW collection is getting overly large as it is. The Pfalz regiment should be interesting, especially with the mixed facing colours.

Every one does Karabiniergarde, mate. Plotz was probably the only kürassiere regiment that had green facings- do them and let them stand out.

Wurttemberg Horse Grenadiers? Did they copy the Hannoverian uniforms or vice-versa?

Ah, I've done the Kurpfalz Cuirassiers with the red and blue facings. I'm planning to do the Leibdragoner, who wore red uniforms with black facings and included a company of horse grenadiers. They were added to the Reichsarmee when the Prince
of Pfalz-Zweibrucken took command. 500 of them were captured almost immediately, but they were rebuilt and carried on with the Reichsarmee.

The Wurttemberg Horse Grenadiers wore much the same uniform - red with black facings, except all wearing bearskin. They only fought one battle (as part of the unified Wurttemberg Army), but I've got stacks of spare Old Glory Horse Grenadiers. I'm also going to do Kleist's Green Dragoons with the leftovers. :)
