I think it's supposed to be Djellibaby.
I wanted to love the Winterpig figures, and the faces are pretty good, but Sergeant Scott arrived broken, (left hand and knobkerrie broken off) and the Private Waddle figure's right arm is a complete mess, with what looks like 2 right hands stuck to each other in series. It's unusable, so I binned it.
Bit disappointing. 8 figures, one didn't arrive at all, one broken and one miscast.
Would have been nice to have told me.
Scotts hand comes seperate, widdle sounds odd and a bad cast I missed.
The sculpt for 8 has just been completed and I am hoping to get him out in april, the sculptor being ill, then me being ill has been a problem. When I send him I will include a new/better cast widdle.
I generally don't complain or expect miscasts to be replaced. Just the luck of the draw, and it's easier to buy new figures than to muck about repackaging and sending stuff back. And there wasn't any indentation on the Sergeant's wrist i could see, so I assumed it had snapped in transit, and just glued it on as best as I could, apologies for not realising it was meant to be in two parts.
A few years back Boyes stores stocked PSC kits and figures. They suddenly decided to stop and flog them all off at silly prices so one Christmas I cleared out the York store much to the Memsahib's despair. I painted most all of the tanks, which gave me enough for a whole army each of Allied, Soviet and Germans in both early and late versions. The figures never really got past the pile much as 28mm took over my interest. Recently I've found my love of 1/72 again and have rescued it from the shed, gradually sorting the figures for painting. There is going to be a lot of Soviet support! Mortars, anti tank rifles and HMG's. My plan on a year of ancients this year has been fully derailed!
Finished the groundwork and undercoat on the four modular terrain tiles I started last week, added another couple two to give variety for 4ft square tables and a little variety for 6x4's.
Also painted the rockwork in preparation for the fun bit of adding flocks, grits and grasses.
To give the paint time to fully cure, tomorrow I might be making bullrushes...if I can find the fine brass wire i've got somewhere!
Putting together a Halo light rig and paint stand (https://www.battlefieldaccessories.com. ... e-halo-set)for my work bench, when I get it to pull it out of storage. Her Missusness is away this week, so the kitchen table is mine.

If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?
Our hobby (or at least the painting side of it) has come a long way since having to nab any flat surface close to a window.....
