All My Anglo Danish Units So Far
I cannot get near my painting table at the moment and consequently I find myself with some downtime. I want to keep the momentum going on all my projects ergo this post featuring all the units painted thus far for my Anglo Danes.
If you hop on over to my Just Add Water blog there's a host of pictures from all sorts of angles of all the units, casualty markers and the one single Shieldwall marker i have managed thus far:

There's a bit of chat about what my plans are for the army, to enter my first Swordpoint event and plans for a redux of the Fulford Gate display game. If you're interested do jump over to my blog at the link above.

Gorgeously painted figures, going to have to throw my Anglo-Danes away in embarrassment

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner but for some reason I wasn't receiving any notifications in my inbox.
Thank you all for your kind words and support- all very much appreciated. I've just passed my second year of isolation re: SARS CoV 2 and it is a great boon to my morale that I have such an engrossing hobby to keep me going

Well don Darrell - is there any particular way that you distinguish between Fyrd & housecarls on the table?
Just wondering as I have some vikings - Bondi and Hirdmen to paint - the former have no armour

Re: All My Anglo Danish Units So Far
Thanks mate. Yeah, the Huscarls are the front row pf bases and the Fyrd the back row. I hummed and hared about giving some of the Fyrd models armours (as many would undoubtedly wore armour- especially helmets!) but in the end I gave into the classic wargames convention of representing them as unarmoured, almost Ceorls- which they certainly were not.
Not completely satisfactory but a good enough compromise.
