That fort is impressive, VB.
Then I was trying to find an old 3Ws Frederick the Great boardgame to use as a campaign system.
The 3W game is still for sale in places (https://www.nobleknight.com/P/133080273 ... -Great-The). The new game sounds interesting, too, but are the strength points given for each arm (INF, CAV, etc) or just as a total body count?

I'm waiting for three orders from the UK- WWII 15mm vehicles and some 1/144 aircraft to use against them- and a copy of Helion's newly released The Battle of Rossbach 1757: New Perspectives on the Battle and Campaign. I also found out where the old club is meeting since the 2019 fires burned down the church hall, so I'll be able to get a game in.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Yeah, I know it's here somewhere, so don't really want to buy another copy. :)

It's in generic strength-points not divvied up by Arm. But that's ok, as all the other SYW campaigns I've done have used that method.

Paint Rack. An app for the phone that keeps an inventory of all your paints. Then provides the closest shade in other paints, provides triads and has a built in colour wheel. With 57 manufacturers it’s fairly comprehensive. It also means I won’t be duplicate buying paints at the shop or at shows. And like yesterday, when a label has come off, and the paint is finished, I’ll be able to figure out easily what shade it is. And best of all, it allows you to scan the bottles in.

It also allows you to create ‘paint recipes’. So when you start those goblins, get distracted and pick them up five years later, at least you have the skin tone recipe you initially used.

Pah. Takes away the fun of repeatedly buying multiple pots of the same paint at shows because you're convinced you're about to run out...

Does it have a special section for blues?

That's a separate app altogether

I have ordered some Redoubt Enterprises. F&IW figures, along with a first time order from Galloping Major, as I'm expanding my collection. No prizes for guessing which order will come first.
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Ok, here's one from left field... chaps (and chapesses) of a certain age will remember the 'Look and Learn' - the comic that parents bought because it was educational. While those of us of an age to read it, will remember The Trigan Empire. A beautifully illustrated space-Roman comic strip. I discovered the Trigan Empire series is available as a series of books, and bought the first three from Amazon. Due to arrive Sunday, and I am unduly excited. The fourth is due for release this year.

Those reprints are beautiful. It’s such an inspirational series. I very nearly succumbed earlier this year but im concentrating on building my Dan Dare collection first.

I've been bitten by the FIW bug, part of the reason why mt current terrain board build is a bit snowy and duel purpose :) I picked up a fair load of Galloping Major figures at Vappa and they are somewhere in my painting queue for the next year (i'm a very slow painter unless i'm doing ultra speed painting with contrasts :D )
