Where's the rest of them, mate?

Very nice, Mark. That Granby bloke seems to get around, doesn't he?

Cheers! :moredrink:

Yeah, I suddenly realised that it was going to be a MASSIVE article, so left the cavalry for later. I'm such a tease...

I've also got this to do on Thursday...

Looking at that map (scaled to a 6x10-foot table), I'm reminded why I don't do 'big battalions'...

I've got some frantic painting, re-flagging and re-basing on the go for the game; CR10 Gensd'armes were finished last night. II./15 'Garde' is almost finished. My ancient III./15 'Garde' to spruce up, re-base and re-flag. Two Hungarian generals to paint. Two Hungarian regiments to finish re-basing and then the whole Austro-Imperial army to label.

If there's time I might also signal some trains.

Lining up that lot means there's no time to go off the rails

Leuthen? That's ambitious, Mark. How many game nights will it take to play it out?

Priorities, mate, you have figures to paint. Don't worry about the trains- they'll look after themselves.

You know you'd like having 53-figure battalions. Big battalions aren't that hard to accumulate and with two ensigns I can always split them for those people who like tiny, 24-figure units. My collection could cover the Prussian forces, though the figures would be a mix of 8 different nationalities (half from the "wrong" side).

Hopefully just one day (1300-2200hrs)!

I'm not including Kheul's Austrian right wing or Serbelloni's cavalry (apart from Buccow, who disobeyed orders and stayed on the left wing). Most of Arenberg's reserve division will arrive as reinforcements and Lucchese's cavalry will eventually appear at the Schoen-Berg, being countered by Driesen's Prussian left wing cavalry.

That's ambitious, mate, and I look forward to the AAR. Including the cavalry actions on the Austrian right-centre would be pretty pointless, I agree. But it may serve for a future game, as there's not all that many cavalry-heavy scenarios in this period.

You can always blame Leibs (regiments) on the line...
