Foundry Sale

Post by valleyboy »

Had an email about a 20% off Jubilee sale

Just had a look because I'm keen to add to my Italian wars Collection- mounted in particular
Apart from Gendarmes (which I probably have enough of for the moment) I can't see anything that would be useful for Italian Wars type cavalry and so looked at some of the other ranges and the only thing that I can see that might do would be Mounted Archers/crossbowmen from the WOTR/15th Century range. Any ideas? am I missing something?

The only other thing I need are SYW Austrian Hussars - they only do Prussian - would these be adequate substitutes?

Grateful for any advice - thanks

VB, the uniforms are close enough that you'd be able to do any of the Austrian regiments by using hussars with colpak. However the musicians may be a problem, as they wore tricorns and the standard coat. You might get away using dragoon trumpeters instead. See http://www.kronoskaf.com/syw/index.php? ... y#Hussars.

Thanks -I'm not actually sure what to do and my feeling is to think about selling off my SYW collection to make space so buying more Austrians to complete it beforehand may not be that wise! The thought I had was that I could make the order up to the qualifying GBP by adding Hussars to Italian wars cavalry

Sell off SYW? Bloody heretic!

Is there anything else they've got that may help take the order cost up? Some of their weapons sets, mantlets and that sort of thing?

Start a new period? Their Caesarian Romans are lovely! Just a few packs will get you a force for Infamy Infamy.

Have to spend over £100 to qualify for sale. I might have picked up some of the 20mm range otherwise.
